Fond Du Lac, Wis. – February 2010 – Seven valuable items have been chosen to headline the Professional Dairy Producers Foundation 2010 Live Auction. The annual auction raises funds to support dairy educational programs, making the event important to all involved in the dairy industry.

The auction will be held March 16 at the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin's Business Conference, after the Tuesday evening dinner at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison , Wis.

Individuals interested in bidding are encouraged to attend the March 16 auction. Business Conference registration is available at www.pdpw.org . For those unable to attend the live auction but interested in bidding on one of the eight live auction items, please call the PDPW office, 1-800-947-7379, to make arrangements for a proxy bidder.

“Funds generated from activities such as the live auction support educational programs that impact the industry and our communities long term,” explained Judy Rupnow, board chair of the Foundation. “This is our ‘legacy of learning' to the next generation of the dairy industry.”

Among the programs that have received recent support from the Foundation are Youth Leadership Derby, Dairy Mentor Program, National Dairy Well-Being Initiative and ACE, Agriculture Community Engagement.
